ZIKOLA'S LAND
Amr Abdel Hamid's novel "Zikola Land" tells the story of a young Egyptian man named Khaled, who enters a mysterious crypt in his village, Al-Bahou Freik, and finds himself in a wondrous land called "Zikola." In this land, transactions are not made with money, but with units of intelligence. Every action you take is paid for with your intelligence, and the poor are those who lack sufficient intelligence, as they are exposed to death on a festive day called "Zikola Day."
